Fresh Vintage

I am having so much fun with my new toys from the Occasions mini catalog and the Sale-a-bration brochure. As I accumulate more and more stamping supplies,it is easy to get caught up in making elaborate cards but it is also fun to challenge yourself to work with more limited supplies. It is absolutely possible to create a gorgeous card with just a few supplies. Today's card uses stamps, ink, adhesive, and card stock- that's it. I think the results are lovely and I hope you agree. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Sale-a-bration is a great time to be a hostess and a customer. Earn a free gift for every $50 order you place through March 31. There are also extra goodies for hostesses during this time period. To learn more, click on the Sale-a-bration brochure icon on the left or email me for more details.

Stamping Vogue Tips:
  • The image layer of this card is offset for an asymmetrical look.
  • I used Basic Gray as my neutral instead of Basic Black to avoid a harsh contrast with the other colors.
  • Play around with the placement and orientation of the stamped images on scrap paper until you get the look you desire.

Supplies:
  • Stamp Set - Fresh Vintage (Available free with a $50 purchase), Loving Thoughts (W 125843C 125845)
  • Ink - Lucky Limeade (122935), Pool Party (122938), Basic Gray (109120)
  • Card Stock - Basic Gray (121044), Whisper White (100730)

Apothecary Art Birthday

My stamp club group will be meeting on Tuesday night. Today's card will be one of our projects. The other 2 projects will remain a surprise until Tuesday night. I love the way the stamps in this set coordinate with the Labels Collection framelits. I am by far not the world's best at coloring stamp images but these images make it easy.
Apothecary Arts is available in the new Occasions catalog. Let me know if you need a copy!

Stamping Vogue Tips:
  • Use a square punch to easily cut flag ends in the sentiment layer and border.
  • The Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder adds to the elegant look. It's my favorite embossing folder.
  • Basic Pearls include a variety of sizes and make it easy to highlight the flowers in the stamp image.

Supplies:
  • Stamp Set - Apothecary Art (W 125525, C 125527)
  • Ink - Pear Pizzazz (119784), Baja Breeze (111833), Jet Black Stazon (101406)
  • Card Stock - Pear Pizzazz (119795), Baja Breeze (111352), Basic Gray (121044), Whisper White (100730)

FTL172 and Sprinkled Expressions

Today's card uses a sketch from the Clean and Simple blog. I took a few liberties with the sketch but retained the same basic layout.
This stamp set, Sprinkled Expressions, and the designer series paper and ribbon are products that are available for free beginning January 24 with the Sale-a-bration promotion. Just make a $50 purchase and you will receive an item of your choice for free. Check out the Sale-a-bration brochure in the left side bar for more details!

Stamping Vogue Tips:
  • I love the new Framelit dies! They make it so easy to cut layered mats. Today I used the Labels collection. It includes 6 nested dies.
  • The pretty organdy ribbon is another Sale-a-bration exclusive item. It comes in a pack with two spools of ribbon (Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade) along with printed designer brads.
  • The ribbon and brads coordinate with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper. This is some of the most beautiful paper - you have to see it!

  • Stamp Set - Sprinkled Expressions (W 125130, C 125132)
  • Ink - Calypso Coral (122939), Lucky Limeade (122935)

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and Take It to Heart

Today, I played along with the Freshly Made Sketches blog. This card showcases the Take it to Heart stampset and the Twitterpated suite of products from the Occasions mini catalog.

  •  I used the lovely colors in the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to set the color scheme for my card - Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride Pink, and Whisper White.

  • The pleated ribbon is also part of the Twitterpated suite of products in the mini catalog. I love the interest and texture that it adds to the card.
  • The Take it to Heart set has heart images in multiple sizes with themes that are great for Valentine's Day and beyond!
